MEET PASTOR GIL KAPLAN
An unusually gifted and anointed teacher, Pastor Gil Kaplan is an expositor of the Word of God. The Lord has appointed Gil to stand in the offices of Pastor and Teacher (Ephesians 4:11). His profound, systematic, revelatory teachings have blessed multitudes of believers from all walks of life, and he undoubtedly has been called to the Kingdom for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).
Gil holds a Masters degree of Theology and is a licensed Messianic Rabbi via Jewish Voice Ministries International. Gil has served as Pastor/Rabbi for two Messianic congregations and has taught at various Bible Colleges and is a popular seminar and conference speaker.
Gil was born in Stamford, Connecticut in 1942 to his parents Louis and Ann Kaplan. His father, a Messianic Jew, was a pioneer in Jewish evangelism. He led his family on many ministry journeys. Gil with his brothers and sister enhanced their father’s ministry musically performing as “The Kaplan Kids.” This was a sought after ministry by many churches and pastors. At a young age Gil’s ministry life showed him he was set apart, peculiar, and different. He just did not fit in. Being a Jewish Christian seemed like a contradiction. However, he learned to embrace his Christian heritage along with his Jewish roots. This laid the foundation for his future as a Messianic pastor and teacher.
After the Kaplan’s moved to Arizona in 1953, Louis Kaplan founded and directed what became an international Messianic television and radio ministry known as the Jewish Voice Broadcast, which later became known as Jewish Voice Ministries International which continues to air in many countries today. The Kaplan family made a tremendous sacrifice, as Louis continued to travel while the family settled and the children attended school.

When Gil returned to the States, he worked for a major electronic corporation as a Sales Engineer and then became successful as a real estate agent/investor for over 25 years.
Meanwhile, Gil’s passion for teaching the Word of God resulted in him being involved part-time in his father’s ministry as pastor of Jewish Voice Messianic Fellowship of Phoenix, AZ.
Gil has appeared many times as a guest teacher and host on the Jewish Voice nationally syndicated radio and television broadcast.
He and his wife, Brenda (a powerful intercessor and committed woman of God) complement one another in ministry. They both move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit with great sensitivity. They have been involved with Arizona National Day of Prayer for many years. They were Coordinators/MC for one of the evening events for four years (2004 through 2007). Pastor Gil also serves on the Board for Alma Vision, a 24/7 Hispanic Christian TV Network.
Gil is in the process of writing and publishing three of his most requested teachings: “Our Time Is Precious, Use it Wisely”; “In Brokenness There is Strength” and “Our Tears Are Precious.” One of his most popular and anointed courses teaches believers how to discover/rediscover the Jewish roots of their Christian faith and equips them to share their faith more effectively with Jewish people.
Pastors Gil & Brenda are also co-founders of Builders of Unity Ministries International located in Phoenix, Arizona. Gil passionately desires to fulfill his destiny and calling as a teacher, mentor, and leader to the Body of Christ.
